GCF and TCCA are organising a joint workshop on November 8th 2023 in Krakow, Poland. The workshop will be co-located with the TCCA CCBG (Critical Communications Broadband Group) meetings taking place that week on November 9th & 10th, 2023.
The goal of the workshop is to complement the regular monthly GCF MCS workstream online meetings with an opportunity for GCF and TCCA members to meet in person and to discuss a number of topics which are of mutual interest.
The agenda will cover what defines mission critical services, and what it means to the industry, especially in comparison to commercial networks and products, as well as special needs and expectations from a testing and certification perspective. We will also cover in detail the step-by-step process for a product to become GCF MCS certified, as well as discuss how operators can access and review the certification data. The agenda will also include discussions on the potential work items for Phase 2 of MCS based on the ongoing work item prioritisation survey, as well as discuss general industry support required to ensure a long-term and viable certification programme.
GCF members are also invited to attend the CCBG plenary on 9-10 Nov 2023 as guests. The CCBG regularly exchanges information on 3GPP activities relating to mission critical, in the task forces and country specific mission critical projects.
