On September 25th, GCF marked its 25th Anniversary with an evening reception at the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) at Savoy Place. The event was held alongside the 100th meeting of the GCF Steering Group, which was also taking place in London during the same week.
The reception provided an excellent opportunity to bring together not only GCF members, board directors, and chairs and vice-chairs of working groups, but also numerous guests who have actively contributed to GCF’s journey over the past 25 years. In total, more than 80 participants representing over 50 companies gathered for this unforgettable evening and were warmly welcomed by the chair of the GCF board, Denis Chabot from Semtech & and the director general of GCF, Lars Nielsen.
While there was a strong turnout from members and guests based in the UK, half of the attendees travelled from 14 different countries around the world. Germany, the United States, Spain, and China had the largest representation, and the reception also welcomed delegates from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, India, Italy, and Taiwan.
We want to extend our profound thanks to everyone who joined us for this memorable occasion. Your presence made this significant milestone even more special, and we truly appreciate the support and friendship shared during this event. It reminded us of the incredible journey we have shared and the accomplishments we have achieved together. To those who were unable to attend but sent their good wishes, thank you sincerely and we hope to see you soon again.
We look forward to many more years of collaboration and success with the mobile and IoT industry, and to celebrating future milestones together.
